By Nihar Sethi, Times of Entertainment The design world is not yet a glamorous place for creative professionals, but for some of the best, the work is good enough to make the cut.
Alloysius is a Mumbai-based design and manufacturing firm that makes a range of apparel and accessories that it says are designed for both casual and formal wear.
The company has been around for less than two years, but it is already being picked up by fashion brands such as L’Oreal, Jil Sander and Nike.
The company also makes the designs for the fashion show “Design Fitness”.
Alloysis founder Prabhat Jain, who runs the company, told The Times that it has been a challenging journey so far, as the company has focused on a wide range of design styles, from minimalist to trendy.
“We have a team of designers and we have over 300 people,” he said.
“I think our focus is on design and we are always looking for ways to improve and evolve.”
He said that while he had made some mistakes along the way, he is sure the brand will get through it.
“In the last three years we have been working hard.
We have been building out our teams.
We are growing,” he added.”
As we have grown, we have learnt a lot.
We want to make a company that is going to be more than just a design company.”
Jain said that Alloysis goal is to help design-oriented consumers find more design-based products and help them find more fun-loving products to wear.
“The biggest problem that we have is finding a way to help people find fun-living products.
That is why we are designing them for everyday use,” he told The Indian Express.
Jain also said that the company does not have a product-store model, but that it is considering such models for its products.
“At the moment we have an online store where people can buy our products.
We think that this is a really smart move for our business.
We hope people will buy from us,” he remarked.
Alloyius’ products are designed by designers from Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi.
Jain said his team was always working on new ways to create designs for everyday wear.
Allofis founders said that they are currently in talks with several brands.
“We are always in talks to other brands and will continue to do so,” Jain added.
