That’s the message from a team at Apple that recently announced a new wearable computer: Piggyback on the power and convenience of the Web.
The wearable computer, called the SmartWatch 2, was unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco on Sunday.
The team is working to make the device easy to use, inexpensive and ubiquitous, according to a blog post on the Apple Developer Program.
“We want the Smartwatch 2 to be a platform for our customers to connect with each other, collaborate, and create value,” said David Siegel, chief product officer of Apple’s Apple Design.
“We’re going to leverage the Web as the platform for this.”
The team is also working on a new app to help users find information about products.
The SmartWatch’s main feature is the ability to use your phone’s GPS to find nearby stores and restaurants, as well as the ability for users to order online.
The app will allow users to view their purchases and check in on their shopping history.
While the app will provide access to a large number of locations, the team is not yet targeting those who already have smartphones and are already connected to the Internet.

When it comes down to it, the SmartWATCH 2 will be a device that will provide users with more ways to connect to the Web, as opposed to simply having a mobile device and a web browser.
We want to build the smartwatch that allows people to connect and work together, and not just on the Web,” said Paul Dergarabedian, senior vice president and general manager of the Apple Design team.
I think there’s a lot of potential there,” he said.
“People want to be able to work with their friends and have access to information in a different way than they do today.”
While Apple’s efforts are still in the early stages, the new wearable device is a step in the right direction.
As of last week, Apple had over 9,600 SmartWatches, or wearable computers that are connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth.
A new smartwatch is something that has always been a dream of many people, and it is the first product that is likely to become available in the near future.
